EMT_01 CHAIR RELOADED
What if Enzo Mari had access to industrial aluminium profiles? From this simple question emerged a hybrid project at the crossroads of tribute, material experimentation, and contemporary manifesto. By merging Enzo Mari’s DIY philosophy with the modular and industrial potential of aluminium profiles, this work offers a radical reinterpretation of the iconic Sedia 1.

Rooted in the belief that collaboration generates meaning and innovation, it brings together designers, artists, and craftsmen who share a common sensibility for design and sustainability.
PROTOCLUB is driven by the belief that design is a collective act. Rooted in fabrication, craftsmanship, and the transformation of materials, the studio embraces process over product. Diversity of perspectives and open dialogue are not just methods but principles, allowing unexpected ideas to emerge and take shape. By cultivating collective intelligence, PROTOCLUB turns experimentation into a shared pursuit, where intuition and critical inquiry converge to form a dynamic creative practice.
PROTOCLUB stands as a manifesto for free, collective, and experimental creation.
PROTOCLUB is, above all, a community of creators brought together by shared sensibilities.
PROTOCLUB embraces design as a poetic playground, one that is collaborative, intuitive and rooted in craftsmanship.
A foundational structure built on connection, curation, and encounter. Its mission is to bring together designers, artists, craftspeople, and architects around self-initiated, non-commissioned projects, in a consciously self-produced framework.
The object is not merely functional or decorative; it is a story in itself, a witness to a place, a moment, a collective adventure.
It builds a stage; a shared space where practices converge. Through the micro-editions of objects, the networking of talents, and the hosting of residencies, the project embraces a deliberate approach that is empirical, human, and narrative.
Each object is conceived as a unique piece or part of a limited series, crafted to honour the hand, and sustain local craftsmanship and production.
Through this careful approach, PROTOCLUB champions an ethics of making that honours craft and finds meaning in meticulous attention.
